The Salt Lake Tribune recently published an opinion piece by a student from the University of Utah supporting an increase in the minimum wage. This is the kind of stuff you just can't make up. Squirrels in England have been digging up bags of crack hidden in gardens and getting addicted to the stuff. They then exhibit aggressive behavior as they get addicted and go after people in search in everyone's favorite white powder. Is it any wonder […]

The Tribune's editorial board talks some sense in asking why it is we're expected to vote for a bunch of administrative offices. I agree: offices like Clerk, Treasurer, Surveyor, Assessor, and so on don't require an election. The mayor and county council can figure out who's good for the job and then fire them […]

A hallmark of left-wing politics has been an ever-expansive system of government assistance. These encompass programs such as welfare, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. The purpose behind these programs is noble enough: help those who cannot help themselves. They have proven, however, to not be financially viable in the long term and have not been […]

I've mentioned a few times before that I'm running a project called Free UTOPIA to get UTOPIA legalized for my area of town. Well, now comes the real challenge: I'm presenting to the Utah Technology Commission on November 15th at 5PM in room W110 of the capitol building to make my case. I've […]
