Doc Towner Thinks He Can Threaten Me?

I got the following from Utah's least favorite political spammer yesterday:

After reading your Coolest Family Blog, Looking at your pictures, and your many anti-spamming comments and all your other postings and comments, I now understand who you are and where you are coming from. Your politics, your lifestyle, what apparently you do for a living. At first I thought you actually might be somebody I should be concerned about. Then I saw your website LOL

Cheers

I just thought I would pass this along. I've contacted phil@feedblitz.com and warned him about your personal vendetta, along with your URL www.coolestfamilyever.com

First You said I had only a little over 3700 subscribers, now you say over 6000 wow how did that happen? I have 6144 in one database and 8614 in another. Your email address must be in the 6144.

I'm sorry… am I supposed to feel threatened or something? You know, in the same way that someone might feel threatened from doing a copy/paste of their MySpace page or About page? Of course, you already deleted those posts to try and cover the evidence, just like you've done several times before, huh? Too bad there were a bunch of us that saw it already.

As for the subscriber numbers, they were around 3700. Then after your mass subscription, they jumped to over 6100. Wow… that's a hard concept to follow, that the numbers changed after you forcibly tried to subscribe more people. Must be all of those numbers you have to fudge clouding your mind.

I too have contacted Phil to forward your threatening e-mail to him and provide the link to JM Bell's blog where you admit to using the Utah Policy Daily mailing list to force subscriptions to your own list. That's a blatant violation of the ToS for FeedBlitz and a violation of Utah Policy's privacy policy concerning subscriptions where they claim to not share their list with anyone. (Don't worry, I'm notifying Lavar Webb separately to make sure he knows what you've been up to.)

What we have here folks is just another bully who thinks he can intimidate folks into shutting up about his bad behavior. Well, Mark, I'm not shutting up and you can't shut me up so take your threats and put them in an uncomfortable place (like the back of a Volkswagen).

    Here here. Well done

  2. Sherpa says:

He LOLl's himself.  That habit in itself speaks volumes to me.

  3. Sherpa says:

how did that i get in there? LOL not LOLI

  4. Jeremy says:

Ugh…Towner is a desperate sad sad man.  Thanks Jesse for the update.  Following the foolishness of this guy is entertaining is a creepy and icky way.  It is kind of like driving past a train wreck…you shouldn't want to see the devestation but it is hard keep from turning your head to look at it.

  5. Jason says:

I am giving a standing ovation. Some of it for the sticking it to the man, but mostly for referencing the uncomfortable position in a V-DUB. NOONCH.

  6. Jesse says:

If anyone other than Shauna was going to get the VW reference, I knew it'd be Jason.

I still haven't heard back from either FeedBlitz or UPD about his, er, "mis-appropriated" list of e-mail addresses, but I'm definitely going to make sure everyone knows what the responses are.

  7. Kristi says:

hahahaha.  Foolish mortal, Jesse always kicks butt.

  8. Jenn says:

Well it's a good thing you have Chloe and Annabelle there for protection… otherwise I would be worried for you!

  9. Jason The says:

According to his blog, you have 24 hours to apologize or he will “serve” you.

Seems a threat not worth stewing over (I dug into it a bit, the man has a habit of this type of behavior), but should you get “served” I would let this one go to court.

We are willing to setup a legal defense fund on your behalf, and there is more than one attorney nearly beating down the door for the chance to take Mr. Towner to the books on this, his latest childish lawsuit threat.

  10. AnonyMo says:

Maybe Towner’s spouse, a newly-minted graduate from the UofU College of Law, will represent him.

You should ask for all of Towner’s financial records to see how he’s been damaged by you … allegedly.

Maybe a jury finds you slandered him.

And maybe they find out that legal bullies like Towner are such scumbags that he actually owes you money for improving his reputation!
