Victory Against the Chickens
Just a small note to indicate that the war on the chickens is over… and I won. I walked past that house the other day and noticed that the chicken coop is entirely gone. I guess the county eventually took it seriously.

This is a victory for rooster haters everywhere. I know a lot of my hippie friends shun my anti-chicken stance, but seriously, they’re annoying and loud and rude. No chickens in urban and suburban settings. Way to go!!
A parent of one of Giselle’s classmates donated a chicken to her school recently. A baby one, that is. While it’s exciting for the children to see the baby chick, they’re all obsessed with it, I wonder what is going to happen once the thing grows up. It seems like a strange thing to donate to a school. I mean, are they going to wring its neck once it’s big enough and feed it to the students? It certainly can’t hang out on the campus and peck away at our children!
Have you smelled any BBQ in the neighborhood recently??
