I'm beginning to think that Jesse is breaking all the computer stuff on purpose. Apparently, I didn't put up enough resistance to buying a new computer so now I'm suckered into a monitor as well. :)

I've been toying with the concept of getting into building a new burly computer for a while, but I always run into two issues:

1. I can't afford to pick up another hobby; and
2. I have every console; do I need to game on a PC?

I still feel like I missed some absolute classics in the last seven years while I was exclusively in mac-land, as far as PC gaming goes. I guess I can play those on my reasonably powerful laptop -- assuming the Vista shift doesn't get in the way. As far as new games go, maybe I can wait another seven years.

I have to say I have been tempted by the beast, and the beast has won.

Since I am no gamer, I have upgraded to a laptop full time, while my old computer functions as a Hulu/Netflix/YouTube watcher for my Flat screen LCD television.

(Shakes fist!) Damn You, technology!

For those non-parents out there, remember that Benadryl, 40% of the time, results in a HYPERACTIVE CHILD, not a sleepy one.

So test it before you get on the plane, PLEASE!!!

Depending on who you talk to, it's anywhere from a lot to a whole stinkin' lot. The APPLE report that the Utah Legislature did a while back estimated the total impact in the billions for both one-time land sale revenues and on-going tax revenues. Nevada has it the worst with 93% of their land claimed by the feds.
